Holiday with Family
I'm grateful to have had a job over break that gave me 40 hours a week. Even with working that much, money for school is still tight, but i know that the Lord will provide if this is where He wants me to be.

Go into all the world...
Romans 15:20-21 "My ambition has always been to preach the Good News where the name of Christ has never been heard, rather than where a church has already been started by someone else. I have been following the plan spoken of in the Scriptures, where it says, “Those who have never been told about him will see, and those who have never heard of him will understand."
Matthew 9:37-38 "Then He said to His disciples, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest."
one of my classes for the last couple weeks has been Bible Basis of Missions. on our first day of class our teacher asked us to define missions. it seemed like a simple question at first, but the more we tried to come up with a definition the more confused we got as to what missions truly is according to the Bible. the great commission says to "go into all the world..." but does that mean missions is only overseas? we were able to evaluate the questions we had and examine what missions is.
throughout the Bible we see a consistent theme that never changes: God pursuing mankind to restore the relationship with Him that has been broken by sin. this principle never changes, but how God carries out this principle does. in the Old Testament He used the Judges, Prophets, and the nation of Israel to be a light to the surrounding nations. since Israel chose to disobey God, and walk away from Him, God put His plan for Israel on hold. Today the church is the instrument God is using to pursue the lost world and one way the Church is doing that is through tribal missions.
as i was reading last night in our textbook i was once again challenged and burdened for the lost people in the world who have never had a chance to hear about Christ and what He has done for them. i was again reminded of why i want to devote my life to serving the Lord through tribal missions. it is a plentiful harvest where there are very few workers. it would be a privilege to be a part of what God is doing in the world.
1 John 2:2 "He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world."

My main purpose for making this blog was to have a way to share with people i don't see very often or don't get a chance to talk to very often about what is going on in my life and what i have been learning while i am at New Tribes. It is almost the end of my second semester! It has gone by so fast yet at the same time i feel like it all just started.
I was given the opportunity to be an R.A. this semester, which has been just one area that God has been faithfully teaching me through. I have five amazing girls in my dorm that have been an encouragement to me as i continually see my inadequacies as a leader in the dorm.
